Google Analytics: Ecommerce

 

 

If you wish to, you can use Google Analytics' ecommerce tracking to more deeply track data about your customers and their purchases.

Step 1

The first step is to paste the normal GA tracking code into the 'Paste tracking code to add to all of this product's pages' field.

Step 2

Next, copy and paste the following code into the box labelled 'Paste tracking code to add only if the customer purchases the main product': Click here to grab the code.

Step 3 (To track a bump)

If you have a bump offer, you can should add the following code into the box labelled: 'Paste tracking code to add only if the customer purchases the bump offer': Click here to grab the code.

Step 4 (To track your upsells)

If you have upsells attached to your sales funnel and want to track those also, you can go to edit your upsell, click on the 'Customize' tab, and then the 'Tracking' sub-tab, and add the following code into the 'Paste tracking code to add if the customer purchases this upsell' field: Click here to grab the code.

Important note: You must replace 'UPSELL_ID_HERE' with your upsell's ID. You can find this by looking at the URL from the edit screen; the ID will be the number at the very end.

Step 5 (To track your downsells)

If you have downsells attached to your sales funnel and want to track those also, you can go to edit your downsell, click on the 'Customize' tab, and then the 'Tracking' sub-tab, and add the following code into the 'Paste tracking code to add if the customer purchases this downsell' field: Click here to grab the code.

Important note: You must replace 'downsell_ID_HERE' with your downsell's ID. You can find this by looking at the URL from the edit screen; the ID will be the number at the very end.
